Essays:
Choose two activities in which you played a significant role and briefly describe your unique contribution to each.

1. Activity: Cross Country
My love for running motivated me to start a cross country team at Tuslaw High School. I took initiative to speak with school officials to get approval to create our own team. I made arrangements to participate in invitationals, with me as coach, our team, consisting of my brother and I, entered the races. Today the High School has a complete boys and girls team.

2. Activity: Boy Scouts
I helped to pave the way of how to achieve the rank of Eagle. Many scouts after me achieved the distinguished rank. I assisted the Scoutmaster in organizing and supervising the camp outs in addition to what should be discussed at our weekly meetings. I was always there to help the scouts in numerous capacities.
